Observance
2026

The doors to Arlington’s Town Hall will open to welcome the public to our 38th free Martin Luther King Birthday Observance on January 19th, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

Join us at 730 Mass Ave for a rousing evening of reflection on MLK’s life and insight into our ongoing fight for civil rights.

Sample pastries from local bakeries and mingle before the program begins at 7:00. Find solace in the blessings from Father Paul Clifford of St. Eulalia’s Church and Rabbi Avi Bukiet of The Center for Jewish Life Arlington-Belmont. Learn which members of our community will be honored for their racial justice work. Be transported by the harmonies of People’s Baptist Church Male Chorus, directed by Marcia Scott.

Contribute to the free-will offering if you are moved to support our charitable work. And by all means, focus on the keynote address given by the remarkable Jackie Jenkins-Scott.
